Database Administrator (Bangalore / Chennai): Oracle 9i/8i/8/7.x Databases on HA configuration using 9i/10g RAC, OPFS, Data guard etc. Working knowledge of SQL server Preferred. OCP desired. Require comprehensive knowledge, along with extensive and varied experience in these technical areas: Database/Instance creation. Monitoring and tuning of database and application SQL. Provision and capacity planning for adequate database storage. Security and integrity of database environment. Perform updates, patch installation and audits. Implementing Back up Solutions with native backup tools like Rman and 3rd Party Backup tools like Veritas netbackup, Omniback Data protector. Execution and monitoring of database utilities and scripts. Ability to perform installations, software upgrades, and apply patches. Good UNIX skills should have expertise in either Shell or Perl scripting. Knowledge of Connectivity Protocols SQLNET, INET, ODBC, TCP/IP etc. Experience in disaster recovery.
